Hi , i signed up to DIY in May of this year, i have adult dating, swingers, gay and tv i have signed up over 9000 members and have 700 upgrades and rebills coming in every month.
I had affiliate experience before i started with diy but i had no experience regarding the adult dating game. I also have some html ability and am not too bad with photoshop / Gimp so i have changed the look of all of my sites and made them individual , completley rewritten everything and i mean everything frontpage, meta tags, join page ,preview pages and so on. I have also created my own extra content , and thrown in some extra pages to amuse my members.

I would say take a look at the "lookers" you are attracting, i almost entirley get upgrades from the uk and i spend all my efforts attracting uk visitors. I never did have anyone from turkey upgrade yet!

I encourage you to keep trying, you need to find the right recipe of design, content, domain name, keywords, traffic etc . When you do it works trust me.

I can understand the importance of tweaking the sites. i have not doen as much as you, Hayes, but I have altered all of the text & the meta keywords etc.

Having a beautiful, unique site is all fine and dandy, my question is, how do I drive the amounts of traffic there to result in the kind of action you are experiencing?

What sort of percentage comes from paid-for traffic (PPC campaigns) and how much through 'bum marketing' techniques such as link exchanges, article writing etc.?

Well until Hayes comes back and reads this post, is there anyone else who is making this programme work who can share some advice regarding traffic?

Hi Barry
All I can say is it takes hours and hours of hard work, the marketing is the hardest, you neeed links, search engine advertising etc., My first site I started about 8 weeks or so ago, I have 5 sites altogether.

I know a lot about computers, done all college courses, apart from html, Rob has been so helpful to me, I have made a few mistakes with my sites along the way, and he has had to put some of it right for me.

I have learnt such a lot, and to be honest I have really enjoyed it, sometimes feel like throwing the laptop out of the window, I do not spend anything on advertising, just market everywhere possible. If you go to the help section, on marketing, DIY have various ideas about marketing issues, free ones and also paid ones.

Have a read on webmaster forums, they have all got sections regarding marketing, you get some good tips from them, what is useful to me, I write everything down on a notepad, then look into it.

I hope this has been helpful to you.
