Ok, I do send out newsletters to all my members and one of my sites is doing exceptionally well. However, I think my newsletters could be better. I'll be honest, they are sent out primarily to get conversions. But I really wanna work on sending out great newsletters that my members will want to read. What sort of stuff would you recommend putting in them?

Also, I am not html literate, but when I do send out these newsletters, all the text is squashed up. I'd like to make them look a bit more professional with proper line breaks. How would I go about doing this?

Newsletters are a great way of reminding people that they belong to your website, people join many websites and then go surfing and sometimes they forget about being a member of your website so it's a good thing to remind them. I use an external script to send out newsletters this script is great to help my marketing, I can see from the script which people I have sent the email too have actually read the email. Thus I know I am still able to contact this member and that their email address is still live. It also reports to me any bounced email address's letting me know if perhaps that persons email address is no longer valid.

So what should you put in your email, well you have two problems here if you are using the internal email script provided by DIY you can't send your list members to any external websites that you may own or may be an affiliate of, You can't send the email as and when it suits you as DIY have to read and approve the newsletter first and it may also go out with loads of other emails. Your internal newsletter goes out with any email that DIY sends it's customer base from what I can remember, that may of changed.

In the newsletter you should be giving your members information you think they may like to read, we know they are interested in dating but there are different types of dating Adult Dating and Non Adult Dating now if you are a good webmaster you should have affiliates to help your income streams so you could tell them about perhaps a new site you have created using your affiliate site (don't tell them it's an affiliate)you could give them articles on dating related things like Did you know that Strawberries can help your sex life? That as a headline alone will get them curious so they may want to read on to find out why. The truth be known everybody is always looking for whatever will make them a better person in love better person in bed help them attract others to them. So in my mind these are newsworthy items.

You certainly do not want to be letting then know the latest football news unless of course it has something to do with dating or is a leading story in the press and has something to do with dating. You could of course employ your own copy writer you can get good original articles written for you by companies like wordstream for little money. You could of course go hunting for interesting articles related to your type of dating website get them sent to you on a daily basis and then inform your newsletter list of these articles. One thing though I would say is if you are going to do this please remember to credit the source of the information for instance
