Is it possible to download your own files to your site. For example i notice that one of your more succesful sites has images that are obviously from outside Diydating.

Hi,

We do not provide hosting space for webmasters, so any customised images you use will have to be kept on your own personal web space.

There are many ways to customise your site. If you are familiar with HTML you can edit your sites main design fully, and change the images to suit your vision. For more info take a look here.

You can also use a custom image pack as well; this allows you to change some of the default images, such as the flags and smiley faces. In order for this to work you just have to change your 'Image URL' to the location you have them stored.

Can you use sites like www.photobucket.com to store images for you?

I'm not sure on the exact ins and outs of how Photobucket works.

If they let you hot link your images from there then yes you can as it would operate in a similar way to a free web hostonly in this case just for images.

I suggest you check to see if they allow you to load images stored on their servers on external web sites. If they do allow you to do this then any extra images and or banners you want to use can probably be stored there.
