Hi, can anyone help. I want to change my site description but I have to keep it within my META TAGS???

What do i have to do to change my site description? Your answere will have to be in very basic language, bit new to this site game , but having a great time, even newer to computers.

Hi Dave,

The meta tag 'description' provides a short description about your site. This is normally used by search engines such as google to display a summary of your site in its search results. For example:

my website name
This is my sites description and comes from my meta tags.
http:// my web site url

DIY-Dating provides two methods to change your meta tags. The simple method is to login to your master account, 'Editing' -> 'Basic Editing' -> 'Select a site' -> 'Entry Page'. On this page there are two text entry boxes labelled as 'Description' and 'Keywords', these allow you to change the meta tags.

The more advanced method is done by logging into your master account, going to 'Editing' -> 'Advanced Editing' -> 'Select a site' -> 'Logged Out Headers / Footers' and manually editing the tags.
