Welcome to DIY, this isn't the busiest of forums but if you get stuck on something there's usually a few of us with a solution or three. Rob is pretty darn good as well, and I find spamming him with chat messages throughout the day often gets results... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

thanks for the welcome Vince,
i expect its a bit slow because everything has to be approved before being posted but that does cut out a lot of c**p I expect. I feel I already know Rob quite well as he has helped me a great deal already lol! Well Im getting stuck into my site, been busy promoting it on social networks, have a PPC campaign running but although im getting the clicks no sign ups coming through yet. Ive got a Instant Traffic bundle running which will submit my site to google and 400 search engines so slowly I shoild be out there. Still getting to grips with all the backend stuff, made a banner and started banner exchange, pushing the DIY start your own site link as well. Just been looking into adding ads on my site but because its a adult site it seems the major players dont want to know. I took time off this morning to go to the Remembrance Day parade but other than that ive been at it almost constantly for 4 days now just about lol! Hopefully all my hard work will pay off, if not its not for the want of trying! Next is to customise it a bit so as its not the same as all the others as has been suggested in this form but to be honest, i quite like the look of it as it is. Oh well, thats it for tonight, I have to go to bed as I have work in the morning lol, my new boss DIY dating wont like it if im late for work! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

what am I supposed to do on the page editor, under Meta Tags, where is says not done yet? Do I need to add new meta tags or are the default ones ok?

While the standard meta tags will do the job to a certain extent, I would recommend that you research the best keywords to use for your site and also think about adding a more detailed description tag. There is a lot of information on the web covering these subjects. If there 'not done yet' next to a page in the page editor, this page will automatically use the default meta tags that can be set via the link at the bottom of the page editor. All pages on the site use this meta tag by default unless you specify them for the page in question via the page editor. |

We are contantly looking to improve our system which we will outline in the next newsletter. We do appreciate feedback from our webmasters and will take your opinions on board in an effort to improve the user experience for you. You should find that your userbase continues to grow over the coming weeks and then a percentage of those will turn in to full members for you. |
